Windiez
I am a musician and am constantly looking for new instruments and sounds. If they don’t already exist then I create them myself. I attended a concert of Mongolian overtone singing and there I heard an instrument of which the sound immediately transported me to the windy Mongolian plains!
Using this instrument as inspiration, I started to develop my own. Six versions later, each better in form and sound, I eventually ended up with the final version. Whilst making this instrument I needed water very quickly to cool a part of it. I grasped the first bottle of water that was close at hand. Later I realised it was water that I had gathered at a sacred spring in Glastonbury England! What it was doing on my work bench I’ll never know. I have a strong “memory” of being a sword smith (in a previous life ?) and used the self same “magical” water to make the swords even moor powerful. I realised the poetic symbolism, swords to musical instruments !
